Accuracy and accountability
Corrections Policy
The Canadian Chronicle corrects verified factual errors promptly and makes material changes visible to readers.
How to report an error
Report a factual error through the Contact page. Include a link to the story and a reliable source that supports the proposed correction.
What happens next
We review the published wording against the source material. When an error is verified, it is corrected promptly and a visible correction note is added to the story.
Facts, commentary and inference
The publication distinguishes confirmed facts from commentary and inference. A disagreement with a clearly labelled opinion is not treated as a factual error, but any factual claim supporting that opinion remains subject to correction.
